Description
Very original 1950s Grant Featherston R160 Contour chair in good original condition. This chair was purchased from the family of the original owners and has been in two houses its whole life. We purchased the chair from the son of the original owner who purchased the chair in the 50s and he remembers growing up with it in the family home. It has not been restored or repaired at all and its original Silky Oak base, is still in good solid condition. If more pics are required, please feel free to ask and we will send them to you. We are unable to locate a makers stamp anywhere, but we believe this is an early model with the legs that do not have the fine taper, they are smooth and without the ‘lip’ as seen in later R160s. Sometimes we have seen these early ones unmarked, such as I believe this to be. All dimensions, materials and design features align with all other original R160s Contour chairs we have seen over the years. This chairs is available as is, for the new owner to enjoy an original or restore in their own style.
